Happy Yuletide! I hope the season and rest of the year are good to you and let me just say that no one could be happier that you signed up for Yuletide this year than me. I hope you receive the fic(s) of your dreams and that you have fun and enjoy writing for me.

In general, in terms of types of stories that I enjoy, I am pretty easy to please and my tastes are pretty broad all things considered. Generally though, I do prefer stories with some sort of plot or arc to them over introspective/character studies or world-building exercises, tho wrapping either of those into a story with plot is fine. I also appreciate good “setting as character” stories or some sort of meta-narrative. But in general I just like things to happen. That said I want you to enjoy and love the fic you write so if get hit by a really good fic you want to write for any of my requests below, I would say go for that, even if I don’t specifically prompt it (unless it hits a DNW).

I generally prefer middle to the road between angst and fluff, with maybe slightly more angst. I just need there to be some tension and characters acting like humans and prone to human folly than characters who say all the right things and do the right things. I am always a fan of a hot mess express.

In terms of Porn/NSFW, outside of the stuff listed above I am open to anything and with regards to language, I prefer a balance (not too clinical, not too flowery), but would prefer to refrain from using a lot of euphemisms. At the end of the day, I am more concerned with the emotions and what it does for the character and story than I am with the acts and description of genitals.

Bottoms (Movie 2023)

Characters: Hazel Callahan, P.J., Josie, Isabel

Fandom Specific DNWs: No AUs where the tone is dissimilar to canon, PJ/Josie in a romantic/sexual sense (if it is them by themselves if you want to add them as a third/quadruple with Hazel and Isabel than that is fine).

Optional Details: This movie really hit my ID in the big way. It is the first comedy that I really loved in years and hit the same spot that Jennifer’s Body did way back when. I want to see these characters in so many situations and hijinx, whether that is pre-, post- or AU. I view all the characters as different flavors of unhinged, so I would ask that you try to keep that in whatever fic you right. Of course, I do ship Josie & Isabel and P.J. & Hazel so if you want to write ship fic those would be the pairings I prefer. I like to think Isabel has Josie wrapped around her finger and prods her into getting into the most insane sort of trouble and of course keep Josie’s penchant for lying and fanciful tangents. I also think they would easily rope in Hazel to assist and P.J. sort of ends as the one voice of caution. (I think this is a read of the movie particularly in the back half where P.J. sort of calms down and seems to realize first that things were getting out of hand. I would thoroughly enjoy any involvement of the other fight club members. The only ones from the movie I am not so interested in are the football players outside of being colorful background and just absurd comic relief.

In terms of type of story, I would love anything from a heist fic, a surreal look at juvie (I don’t personally see them going to jail over the events of the end of the movie given the tone and absurdity of the universe, but if you want to, I would just ask you keep the surreality, no hard critique of prisons please). If you want to explore what P.J. and Hazel go through post film or their whole situationship. I think that would just be super fun. I just would like to keep the energy and tone of the movie with whatever story. Or if you want to explore P.J. and Josie’s friendship both pre and post movie that would be great.

Subsets/Exceptions: If you can include all 4 characters in some capacity that would be great. But I understand if based on whatever idea or story you want to write you can’t, the only combinations I don’t have any interest in are P.J.-Isabel, Josie-Hazel, Hazel-Isabel. You can focus on any one of the characters you would like but I would like some dynamic with at least one other character I requested.

Prompts:

Someone wrongs Isabel (the pettier the better) and she ropes Josie (and Hazel and P.J.) into taking part in her revenge.
In Juvie following the football game at the end P.J. and Hazel have time to sort out their whole situation with zany hijinx and situations.
The fight club is restarted and P. J. struggles and overcompensates to get Hazel's attention.
Grad Night goes wild.
Long mutual pining or either Josie/Isabel or Hazel/PJ in a friends with benefits situation

Lilywhite Boys Series - K.J. Charles

Characters: Susan “Sukey” Lazarus, Cara Pyne-ffoulkes, Templeton Lane

Fandom Specific DNWs: Modern AUs

Optional Details: Any Old Diamonds is my favorite of Charles’ work, everything about that book worked for me. That said, I am quite satisfied with regards to canon and to Alex/Jerry. My main interest fic wise is Susan. I just want more of her in all ways and The Gilded Cage, while enjoyable didn’t fully satiate me with regards to the character. I also want so much more insight into her relationship with Cara and there so many more corners to go with Templeton (James). If you want to go with a straight post canon fic, I would love to see your take on what they do after Templeton comes back to London. Does Susan open her own agency? Or something else. I would be totally okay with a canon divergent what if Cara lives scenario. I ship Susan with both and would be totally down for an OT3 situation (I agree with the idea that Cara and Templeton would have gotten along if they had been able to meet). If you want to further explore Susan and James’ past that would also be great. I think there so much of the fall out, or track their various meetings between the falling out and the reunion in AOD.

Subsets/Exceptions: My only requirement is a focus on a Susan. I requested both Cara and Templeton because I would prefer for there to be some dynamic but you don’t have to involve both if you don’t want to, I would be happy to see them equally.

Susan and Cara meet and fall in love at the Suffragette meetings.

機動戦士ガンダム | Mobile Suit Gundam (TV 1979)

Characters: Amuro Ray, Char Aznable

Fandom Specific DNWs: N/A

Optional Details: The Gundam Franchise as a whole has been a hyperfixation of mine for decades so of course I have strong feelings about the series that started it all. Char and Amuro are so iconic and their relationship to and with each other (enemies, rivals, uneasy allies, mortal enemies) is just so complex and melodramatic and messy. I ship it, but not in a true love or any sort of healthy way. They are definitely in a love-to-hate, hate-to-love situation and I would love just any exploration of that. I am fine with explorations of them in either a platonic or sexual sense (though I do think the hate-fucking and sexual component is interesting speculation). I would be fine with them during canon, divergence where they don’t die tragically, in a weird throuple with Lalah if she doesn’t die or maybe with her in a weird New-type way. I also would be a-ok with any AU (I would certain love any take on them in an Office/Corporate type setting) outside of like the plain domesticity. If you want to involved a secret identities, a messy love triangle between themselves (making good use of Char’s dual identity) would also be fun.

You can set your fic during any part of the UC timeline if you wish. I had debated writing a whole thing to have the UC as a whole but decided against it and just nommed the original series. But if you want to set your fic during Zeta or CA or whatever feel free to do so.

I just want them being their messy, over dramatic selves. Go Wild with It.

Office/Corporate Espionage AU.
Stranded together and have to deal.
Char cons Amuro into some sort of team up and it doesn't go as well or as bad as either of them hoped or feared.
They both date Lalah and have to learn to deal with the other in multiple situations.
An AU where maybe Amuro is dating Sayla and Char hates him and so messes with him.
Any parts during the off-screen moments or during Zeta where they deal with each other while also resenting each other.
Both compete for Lalah's attention and/or affection. Points go if Lalah bamboozles them.

機動戦士ガンダム水星の魔女 | Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury

Characters: Suletta Mercury, Miorine Rembran, Prospera Mercury | Elnora Samaya, Ericht Samaya

Fandom Specific DNWs: Erasing/Ignoring Suletta's disability in post-series fic

Optional Details: G-Witch is the first Gundam series in a while that I got super into and what reignited my interest in the franchise and of course I was interested in the first Gundam series with a female protagonist and the fact that (in spite of what Sunrise/Bandai wants you to think) it’s sapphic as well, it is completely my jam. While I do think the series rushed the ending, I am overall satisfied with how the series played out. I requested Suletta, Miorine, Prospera and Eri because honestly I am invested in their weird little family unit. I want to see the cracks and repairs to Suletta and Prospera’s relationship that the show didn’t give it time to explore fully. I want to see more of Eri snarking on Miorine and the contentions that she still has with Prospera.

If you want to explore the aftermath of the show or the events that happened between the resolution of the conflict and the epilogue I would be fine with that. However if you just want to write SuleMio fic, I am game for anything, during or post canon or AU. I could watch them fall in love 1000 times, I think they are great candidates for an arranged marriage AU or a bet AU.

On a Sci Fi/World level I would love for any ideas of Eri obtaining a more fully autonomous body or way of existence, I can’t believe that she is going to be stuck in a keychain forever so if you want to tackle that, I think I would also find that interest.

What will happen if Prospera gets called in to stand trial for war crimes. How does that affect Miorine's corp given her relationship with Suletta.
Any exploration of the aftermath and scars left by the end of the series.
Non-linear story flipping between pre and post show. I want to know more about both Miorine and Suletta growing up.
Any story or heist or even that takes place in the year from Quiet Zero and the epilogue.
A Pygmalion type situation with Miorine and Suletta but maybe where Miorine is less of an arse.
Inclusion of Miorine and Eri's relationship.

Nope (2022)

Characters: Jean Jacket, Emerald Haywood, OJ Haywood, Ricky “Jupe” Park

Fandom Specific DNWs: No Ship!Fic, No AUs (excluding canon divergence), No "O.J. is dead at the end of the movie" interpretation

Optional Details: This was my first movie in theaters following the pandemic, so in some ways it just means a lot to me, but overall this movie has been stuck in my head for over a year. Everything about it just connected with it, the themes of spectacle, exploitation and the horror of being “known”. Even just thinking about it gives me chills. I am pretty open to most flavors of gen here and I just want more really.

In terms of characters requested, I don’t need you to focus on all or even multiple. You can choose a lens to see them through. I am fine with Jean Jacket being an excuse to go into world building (and I think this film is great inspiration for all sorts of epistolary fic, I want to know the conspiracy theories and how it is distorted for the public)). I realized belatedly that I probably should have nominated Gordy as opposed to Jupe, so if you can incorporate the Gordy’s Home in any fic and the more connects to Jean Jacket the better, but I understand if you don’t or can’t. Alternatively just more of the Haywoods (either together or separately) like any exploration of the aftermath of the film would be great. I do prefer the interpretation of OJ being alive at the end for fic purposes so please proceed on that front. I would love anything exploring the aftermath of the film and the ways that everyone learned and didn’t learn from mistakes of the past. I am less interested in the characters in terms of a fannish sense but as ways of further exploring the universe and implication.

Any speculation on what comes next, or what does this mean would be great.

Tenkuu no Escaflowne | The Vision of Escaflowne

Characters: Van Fanel, Kanzaki Hitomi

Fandom Specific DNWs: Characters shipped with anyone other than each other.

Optional Details: Escaflowne has been my stalwart small fandom for years, and being as basic as I am, Van and Hitomi are one my ride or die OTPs. I think their romance and dynamic and how they help the other grow is just so intrinsic to the series. Just the way they are so understanding and trust and how deep that is even early on in the series. How Van listens to her and backs her and apologizes for overstepping and Hitomi wants him to be as good as he can even when she finds him prickly. Whether it is post series reunion, post reunion or just a full blown AU (I think they are quite adaptable to most AU situations). They were drift compatible before Pacific Rim had even happened.
